After all the hustle and bustle takes place on college football’s opening weekend (primarily on Sept. 3), there is a game the following Monday, on Sept. 5, which every Ole Miss fan should have already circled on their calendar. The Rebels will face Florida State, at 7 p.m. CST that Monday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.

Most SEC fans will be looking to see how Rebels signal caller Chad Kelly does, as Kelly is highly respected not just in the SEC, but nationally. One player Rebel fans should especially keep an eye on from the other side, is Seminoles running back Dalvin Cook.

Cook, a first-team All-American in 2015, ran for 1,691 yards and 19 touchdowns a year ago. If Fournette isn’t the best running back in the country, many think Cook is the next best thing.

Earlier this afternoon, at the ACC Kickoff in Charlotte, N.C., Cook had some words regarding the season-opening matchup in Orlando.

If Cook does make a statement, it will likely vault him into many voters’ early Heisman Trophy ballots if he isn’t there already.

Will he make that statement, Rebel fans?
