Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil was sitting pretty, fending off any notion of other players possibly going No. 1 overall as well as he did against pass-rushers in college.

That was until the Tennessee Titans traded out of the No. 1 spot in a deal with the Los Angeles Rams.

Knowing the Rams did that to almost certainly take a quarterback, Tunsil went from virtually being 100 percent sure of where he was going to start his pro career to having no idea whatsoever when the NFL draft begins this Thursday.

“I’m human — it hurt,” Tunsil the Associated Press’ David Brandt. “Because (Nashville’s) the place you thought you would be going. Plus, it’s the No. 1 pick and they needed a left tackle. Your goal growing up is to be the first pick, so when they traded it, it hurts. But hey, it’s football.

“I just want to play football and I just want to get picked.”

Well, the 6-foot-5, 310-pounder still won’t have to wait long for that to happen.

While the Cleveland Browns also traded out of their No. 2 spot in a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles — also likely for a QB — there are still plenty of teams in the top 10 that may elect to take a left tackle who gave up just two sacks over a 28-game career in the SEC.
