Do you really know who you’re talking to on social media?

According to Scout.com, a well-known Ole Miss social media superfan and program supporter turned out to be a fake.

Scout’s Steve Robertson discovered that photos of “Analesa Presley”, who went by the the handles of “@Rebel_AP,” “@Rebel_AGP” and “@FinsUpAP” on multiple social media platforms, were taken from two sisters from the Internet.

Robertson spoke to Bailey Sims, whose photos were stolen by the fake superfan:

As fate would have it, a tip came in that led me to contact a young lady from Dalton, Georgia by the name of Bailey Sims. After connecting with Sims on social media, it was clear that her pictures had a striking resemblance with those supposedly of one Analesa Presley. In fact, all of the profile pictures on every form of social media for Analesa Presley was either Bailey Sims or her sister Ashley. “It all just creeps me out,” Bailey said. “I can’t believe something like this would ever happen.”

“Analesa Presley” even received a birthday shoutout from Hugh Freeze on Twitter on one of her handles.

Deadspin.com reported they received a tip as well in late 2012, and sources told the website that “Analesa Presley” could even be a product of the athletic department. But everyone remains skeptical of that idea.
