Ole Miss has hired Dave Corrao to its coaching staff.

Matt Luke was named the interim coach last Thursday after Hugh Freeze’s abrupt resignation following the news that someone had placed a call to an escort service using his university-issued phone.

On Wednesday, Sports Illustrated’s Bruce Feldman reported that Corrao is returning to Oxford as an analyst. Corrao was an assistant with the Miami Dolphins for eight years. Prior to joining the Dolphins, he coached the LBs at Ole Miss under Ed Orgeron in 2007. He also served as a graduate assistant for two years with the Rebels. Most recently, Corrao was hired as Northern Michigan’s defensive coordinator in March of 2016.

Per university spokesman, Corrao was hired by Hugh Freeze and not Luke.

Corrao graduated from Arizona in 1997 earned his M.S. in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation from Syracuse in 2003.
