Ole Miss can’t afford much more attrition on its already thin offensive line.

Sophomore offensive lineman Rod Taylor injured his shoulder in a non-football related activity, according to the ClarionLedger.com. RebelGrove.com says it was either caused or worsened by Taylor participating in a boxing match. The extent of the injury is not known.

The 6-foot-3, 320-pounder is projected to be the Rebels’ starting right guard this season. The Jackson, Miss., native was a four-star prospect exiting high school and the country’s No. 2 offensive guard during the 2013 recruiting class.

Taylor played in every game in 2014 as a freshman, making two starts at right guard.
