The Ole Miss Rebels continued a banner day on the recruiting trail Wednesday with the signing of four-star defensive tackle D.J. Jones out of East Mississippi Community College.

The 6-foot-2, 310-pound defensive tackles is considered the top JUCO defensive tackle in the nation by 247Sports composite rankings, and is regarded as the sixth-best junior college prospect at any position in the nation.

Jones was originally committed to Florida State, but flipped his commitment to Ole Miss on JUCO Signing Day Wednesday. He became the Rebels’ fourth JUCO signee in this year’s class, joining four-star defensive back Tony Bridges, three-star quarterback Chad Kelly and three-star linebacker Terry Caldwell.

Jones initially committed to FSU in July, but made official visits to South Carolina, Auburn and eventually Ole Miss late last month. He’ll join a group of Rebels defensive tackles including former No. 1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche and fellow returning starter Issac Gross.
