Jalen Hurd signed his release papers to officially leave the University of Tennessee Monday and it’s being reported that he’s able to transfer to any school outside the SEC and all opponents on the Volunteers’ future schedule.

That means that any contact that he may have received from coaches recruiting his services were completely legal and do not warrant a violation.

Earlier this week it was made known that Memphis offensive coordinator Chip Long had (attempted) to reach out to Hurd, though it’s assumed that he will not be the only coach to express interest in the former four-star running back’s potential as one of the nation’s most versatile athletes.
