We’ve reached the Top 15 of our Top 100 SEC players list and will unveil a new player daily leading up to opening night on Aug. 28.

14. Reese Dismukes, Sr., OL, Auburn

It’s not often teams are blessed with a player-coach along the offensive line, a key spot determining wins and losses in the SEC. Georgia had it last season with Aaron Murray, Alabama a few years prior with Barrett Jones. Auburn’s secret weapon this fall is Dismukes, a senior center entering his fourth year as a starter up front. A unanimous team captain once again, Dismukes takes 37 career starts into this season, one that comes with high expectations following Auburn’s SEC Championship and appearance in the BCS title game.

Last fall, Dismukes made 124 knockdown blocks and graded out at better than 90 percent in every game. The perfectionist wants more. There’s some added pressure to cultivate newcomers and some of Auburn’s less-experienced linemen in the absence of all-league guard Alex Kozan who underwent season-ending back surgery in July.

2013 statistics: Started every game as one of the Tigers’ most productive offensive linemen along with Kozan and first-round pick Greg Robinson
2014 projection: Enters as a team captain with a team-best 37 career starts; Likely All-American selection
