Scout.com’s final ranking: SEC has 97 out of Top 300, more to come

Scout.com has been ranking the nation’s top recruits for more than a decade, and it is one of the respected entities recognized within the 247Sports.com composite ranking.

Scout recently released its final top 300 individual ranking for the 2014 class, and the SEC was well represented. Nearly a third of the top 300 are committed to SEC schools, and several more will join the conference’s classes within the next two to three weeks.

Here’s a breakdown of where Scout’s top 300 is heading, conference by conference (note, 46 members of the top 300 were uncommitted as of the evening of Jan. 20):
