Bama legacy Fruhmorgen has Florida in final three, but no ‘Tide

Four-star O-lineman Jake Fruhmorgen is an Alabama legacy, as his dad John starred there in the 1980s and went on to an professional football career.

But the younger Fruhmorgen won’t be following in his father’s footsteps and his college announcement is near, his father posted on Facebook Thursday. Clemson is believed to be in the lead, but his home state Florida Gators are also in the mix, as is Michigan–a school he just visited in the past few days. While traveling, he also checked out Notre Dame and Ohio State.

So the Gators survived the cut, while dad’s Crimson Tide didn’t. Why didn’t Alabama make it to the final three? John put it on Facebook simply–”He’s going to create his own legacy”.

Fruhmorgen is a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle out of Tampa (Fla.). He is rated the No. 74 overall prospect in America, and the No. 7 offensive tackle.
