Four-star tight end lists five SEC schools in top 10

Jackson Harris is from Tennessee, but that doesn’t mean the Volunteers are in the lead to land him. In fact, they aren’t even in his top 10.

Harris, a four-star tight end out of Columbia (Tenn.), listed Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Vanderbilt in his list of 10 finalists. The national top 250 prospect recently took unofficial visits to Georgia and nearby Vanderbilt, so those are two of the schools that are definitely on his mind. He also attended Alabama’s junior day within the past month and a half.

Harris is 6-foot-6, 250 pounds. He’s bright, has a good frame for the position, and he’s willing to learn. He’d be a perfect fit at any of the schools if they can land him, but they’ll have competition. Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue–where his brother played–are also in the mix.

Editor’s note: Saturday Down South’s references to ratings follow the composite rankings.
