Five-star WR Lane drops Florida

On Aug. 12, three elite south Florida products–and friends–committed to Florida as part of the class of 2014.

As of Saturday morning, none of the three remains a Gator commitment. It all started when running back Dalvin Cook dropped Florida during Under Armour Game preparations last week, then four-star DB Chris Lammons dropped the Gators on Thursday following the commitment of five-star Jalen Tabor. Late Friday night, five-star WR Ermon Lane followed his south Florida buddies and dropped the Gators. Both Cook and Lane seem to be leaning in the direction of Florida State, while Lammons may end up at South Carolina, eventually. Also dropping the Gators in recent weeks was 2015 WR Da’Vante Phillips. All four players are from either Broward or Dade County–basically Fort Lauderdale or Miami.

Lane announced his decision on Twitter: “No Hard Feelings But I Just Decommitted From The University Of Florida . Not Because Dalvin Cook. No lie I love gator nation,” Lane Tweeted.

Lane is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound pass target.

Don’t get excited dawg fans they would never consider us they want to play for a winner not a looser like us. But just think this is the kind of talent we would get with a winning program. But that will never happen with CMR at the helm!

  2. How many, now have muschamp run off? Because of mushy, how long will it take for Florida to be able to contend again?

The comments below are typical of the dawg fans I have come to know. Total denial they are happy with 8 9 or 10 wins and a bowl game in Podunk Iowa or Shreveport La. They still think that CMR will lead them there. Well wake up he is not capable of leading us any ware but down.
