Aggies up to No. 3 in nation with latest pickup, 11 spots ahead of Longhorns

Texas A&M landed its fifth commitment since May 28 when four-star lineman Keaton Sutherland came aboard this week–and this recent flurry has bumped the Aggies up to No. 3 in the nation.

Sutherland is a 6-foot-5, 280-pound OL/DE out of Flower Mound (Texas), and had also seriously considered Arkansas, Baylor and Ole Miss.

How about this stat line: Two five-star prospects (DT Daylon Mack and QB Kyler Murray) and 10 four-star or better prospects overall are already committed to the Aggies, not too shabby considering national signing day is still a good chunk of a year away in February 2015.

Oh, for the record … Texas A&M is the No. 3 ranked class in the nation. Texas is No. 14. Boy, have things changed.

“I think it’s going to be great playing in the SEC and going against the best competition in the world,” Mack told Saturday Down South. “”And I definitely want to help improve A&M. That’s my goal and to help them win a national championship.”
