Aggies recruits respect Duke, but predict bowl win

Duke might be the surprise team of the bowl season. Unfortunately for the Blue Devils, their Cinderella season might have a sad ending when it faces Texas A&M and Johnny Manziel tonight.

The Aggies face off against Duke tonight in the Chick-fil-a Bowl in Atlanta, and most pickers have this one going down as a blowout. Texas A&M commitments were no different in their view of the game.

“I respect Duke, I just don’t they’re on A&M’s level,” Aggies’ commit Jermaine Eluemunor told Saturday Down South. “Plus this is Johnny’s (Manziel) and Mike’s (Evans) last game, and Jake Matthews and a bunch of seniors too, so they are going to want to put big numbers on the board and go out winners and impress people watching. Scouts and stuff.”

Fellow recruit Justin Dunning saw it the same way.

“Duke is a great team and it will be a close game in the beginning, but A&M will pull away,” Dunning told SDS.

Daylon Mack and Avery Gennesy, two other Texas A&M commits, saw it as a tighter affair: “I think A&M will beat them but it should be a good game,” Gennesy told SDS.

“I think the Texas A&M vs. Duke game will be pretty close, that’s my opinion,” Mack told SDS.
