Granted, this is like making a big deal of leading the Daytona 500 just 15 laps into a 200-lap race … but hey, leading laps is important.
With its weekend pickup of athlete DeShawn Capers-Smith, Texas A&M pushed back into the nation’s No. 1 spot in the class of 2015 team rankings–with LSU being bumped back down to No. 2. Maybe the biggest thing to note here is that Alabama hasn’t been in the top two in several weeks. The Crimson Tide have won the past four mythical national titles in recruiting.
The Aggies now have eight commitments for the class of 2015 and likely will be very busy over the next several weeks. Recruiting in the state of Texas tends to go that way–early and often.
