Aggies, Rebels, Vols and Bulldogs make LB’s top 10 cut

NCAA Football: Chick-fil-A Bowl-Duke vs Texas A&M

Arthur McGinnis is from New Orleans, but he won’t be going to LSU. But there’s a good chance he’ll end up in the SEC playing against LSU.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker may end up with Texas A&M before all is said and done, but Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi State and Ole Miss may also land him. UCLA, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Arizona and Notre Dame also made his final cut. McGinnis is heading to NIKE’s The Opening this weekend and undoubtedly will be recruiting by commitments from the above schools.

McGinnis is a three-star prospect out of Warren Easton High School. AS a junior he had 110 tackles and was a tremendous playmaker, racking up 32 tackles for loss and 14 sacks, while accumulating four forced fumbles.

Editor’s note: Saturday Down South’s references to ratings follow the composite rankings for high school prospects.
