There’s a pretty good chance Jalen Harris will be playing in a bunch of Iron Bowls in the future, it’s just a matter of which colors he’ll be wearing when he does it.
Harris, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end out of Montgomery (Ala.), at one point said Alabama was a dream offer for him. He also has mentioned repeatedly that the two in-state schools stick out to him because of their deep tradition in the sport. LSU, Vanderbilt and Miami are the other three finalists, but the three know they are on the outside looking in–and that’s probably an understatement.
“I will be committing next Tuesday at St. James at 6 (Central Time). Everyone feel free to come, but space may be limited. Thank you,” Harris Tweeted from his account.
Harris is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 28 tight end in the nation–but don’t expect that ranking to stay so low. He has been very busy in June, hitting camps at Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Vanderbilt and Auburn. His Auburn and Alabama offers came only in the last few weeks, which likely will improve his recruiting ranking drastically when the industry re-ranks soon.
