Calvin Ridley isn’t 100 percent sure where he wants to play college football, but the 6-foot-2, 170 pound south Florida native is sure that he likes Alabama and Tennessee enough to list them as part of his top five.
Ridley is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound wide receiver out of Pompano Beach (Fla.), and he’s listed as the No. 43 overall. While Miami is in his backyard and Florida State and Clemson are also threats to land him, Bama and the Vols both have a realistic chance too.
“It’s beautiful there,” Ridley told Rivals.com after a recent visit to Alabama. “They’ve been on a winning streak for so long. All coaches are famous, but it’s amazing to hear from Nick Saban sometimes.”
Ridley goes to high school with Shawn Burgess-Becker, who has named Alabama his leader. Ridley caught 41 passes for 1,131 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2013, an average of more than 27 yards per reception.
