Mizzou has had a great week, as far as recruiting is concerned. But the Tigers aren’t the only SEC program keeping the talent close to home focused on the in-state school. Arkansas is doing a pretty nice job of it too.
Case in point is tight end C.J. O’Grady, a Fayetteville (Ark.) native. He’s a 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end and just told Rivals.com that the Razorbacks are firmly in the top three, along with Oklahoma and Texas. He’s a top 10 player from the state of Arkansas, and in the past a guy like this could easily have been plucked by Texas or Alabama or Auburn.
But right now, Arkansas is firmly in the top three and arguably in front for the prospect. He is hoping to have a decision by the end of summer.
Four of the top seven players in Arkansas are already on board with the Razorbacks, and the other three are uncommitted.
