Arkansas Razorbacks

      • SEC TEAM RANK: No. 11
      • NATIONAL TEAM RANK: No. 30
      • LAST YEAR’S FINISH: No. 9 in SEC; No. 23 in nation.
      • NO. 1 CURRENT RECRUIT: DT Bijhon Jackson (No. 81 in nation).
      • FINAL TARGETS: DE Solomon Thomas (No. 25); LB Sharieff Rhaheed (No. 493).
      • WHAT SURPRISES LIE AHEAD?: If Thomas picks Arkansas, there will be celebrations in the streets of Fayetteville and especially in the coach’s office. The real activity has come in the month of January, when this class improved dramatically by picking up four-star prospects Brian Wallace and Frank Ragnow and a nice contingent of four unheralded south Florida prospects–compliments of former Miami head coach Randy Shannon. Keep an eye on those south Florida players (listed below) and the players along the lines–impressive.
      • SDS WEDNESDAY ‘DRAMA’ RATING (1 TO 5): How about a 2. Arkansas’ real drama happened in January, as already mentioned.

  • Today is like a continuation of this past football season — completely disappointing!!!

Sure, some notable gets and lots of offensive linemen. But, NO SEC CALIBER linebackers or defensive backs. Hell, Arkansas hasn’t landed a true blue chip LINEBACKER since Bush was in office…the FIRST Bush! Which means no speed OR depth on defense (while the rest of the SEC just runs over us). Speaking of…the rest of the SEC crowds the top 20 (including Kentucky and Vandy), while Arkansas leads the 2nd 30 (lucky to be at 31 on most lists).

Hog fans have been patiently saying, give Coach B a few years. Well, given this lackluster and unbalanced recruiting class, we best give him more than just a few years.
Solomon Thomas – Stike-out. Kenny Young – Strike-out. Andrew Mike – Stirke-out. Sharieff Rhaheed – Strike-out (to Petrino and L’ville?!?!). JoJo Robinson can be consolation to another disappointing NSD for the Razorback Nation.

    • What is your solution? This is the beginning of year 2 for God sake. Kids have tons of choices and it takes time. Besides, BB is focusing on front lines on both sides first, which I’m all for. Maybe he won’t pan out, but its a bit early to be jumping off a bridge.
