Will Alabama win its fifth straight recruiting title? Likely

RichiePetitbon-Bama-commit

Alabama has won the mythical national title in recruiting every year since 2010, when Florida won it and the Crimson Tide took fifth. A fifth consecutive national recruiting title (2015 class) seems likely at this point.

The ‘Tide have 19 commitments on board and are miles ahead of the nearest competitor–No. 2 ranked Texas A&M, obviously a huge SEC West rival. It’s an impressive job of recruiting, because while the Aggies can get most of their talent from in-state, Alabama must reach out to other areas and dominate to be No. 1. The ‘Tide have turned into a machine. The most recent elite pickups have been QB Blake Barnett, a former Notre Dame commitment, and big-time MIzzou target Hale Hentges. Barnett hails from California and Hentges is a Missouri native.

Now if they can just hang in there for about seven more months, they can win another national title in recruiting. It won’t be easy, but everybody who follows college football knows that Alabama’s fans want nothing less than the best. Prime targets like five-star prep DT Daron Payne and Mississippi’s No. 1 overall player Jamal Peters (who just named the Tide his leader Tuesday)–are players to keep an eye on in the near future, as Alabama is definitely high on their lists.
