Five-star linebacker names LSU his clear cut No. 1

This is always good news.

Keion Joyner, the No. 1 rated linebacker and No. 4 overall prospect in America for 2016, has made it clear: LSU leads for his services. Period. Alabama and Auburn make up the rest of his top three, he told in a recent interview. He said he had family in Louisiana and that was a factor. The big back is 6-foot-3, 200 pounds.

Other SEC schools like South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee have also offered.

Joyner had 126 tackles and 22 tackles for loss for Havelock H.S. in North Carolina, leading his team to a state championship.

Editor’s note:Saturday Down South’s references to recruiting rankings are to industry composite ranking.
