Florida benefits on O-line from Louisville coaching change

When Charlie Strong left Louisville for Texas, it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the Cardinals would lose some recruits.

This time, the Gators benefited when Jacksonville (Fla.) native Kavaris Harkless switched from the Cardinals to the Gators. He’s a three-star offensive tackle, 6-foot-5, 275 pounds and also held scholarship offers from Boston College, Duke and Vanderbilt. Harkless will enroll early at the University of Florida.

This may not be the last Louisville commitment to switch gears and come a bit closer to home. Strong had big-time connections in Florida and he was the reason players like Teddy Bridgewater ventured north to the state of Kentucky.
