Former Tennessee QB is chief recruiter for Snoop Dogg’s son

Former Tennessee QB Tee Martin has built a solid reputation as a recruiter at USC, but one has to admit this might be his most unique recruit yet.

Martin, who quarterbacked the Volunteers to the 1998 national championship and was an assistant coach at Kentucky for two years before going to USC, is the primary recruiter for the son of famed rapper Snoop Dogg. The son’s name is Cordell Broadus, and this is no publicity stunt. This kid can flat out play ball, and apparently the message Martin and USC are conveying is swaying Broadus in the Trojans’ direction. He is rated the No. 80 overall prospect in America for the class of 2015, and the No. 8 wide receiver in America.

The courtship between USC and Broadus goes way before to B.K.F.–Before Kiffin’s Firing. Martin of course was wisely retained by Steve Sarkisian when he was hired to coach USC, and the former Tennessee player had an outstanding close to the recruiting year–with a cherry on top known as five-star DB Adoree Jackson. So Martin has a history of being able to impress recruits, and it has worked on Snoop’s kid, too.

For the record, it’s well known that Snoop Dogg is a huge fan of USC.

Tennessee and LSU have both offered Broadus a scholarship, though they are on the outside looking in when it comes to landing him.
