Clelin Ferrell has narrowed down a lengthy list, and the top 100 national prospect has a plan in place for what he wants to do next.
He had more than 30 scholarship offers, but now he has it whittled down to a top 11–and the Virginia native told Rivals.com that four SEC schools made the cut. LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and South Carolina made the list for the nation’s No. 84 prospect. He’s a 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive end out of Richmond (Va.), and Virginia Tech figures to play prominently into his decision, too.
Not surprisingly, South Carolina’s ability to impress along the defensive line is one thing that has enticed Ferrell. He went to the Gamecocks’ junior day on March 29. He’s been to the campus twice.
Ferrell also said that if he doesn’t have a school chosen by the end of the summer, he’ll likely take three to five official visits (after narrowing down the list) and then will choose.
