Derrick Dillon is a four-star prospect and a top 10 guy out of the talent-rich state of Louisiana–but that doesn’t mean LSU is in his top three.
LSU would like Dillon to play in the secondary, and has offered, but Florida and Texas A&M have expressed interest in giving the multi-talented athlete a chance to play on offense. He has starred at quarterback as a high school player, and even though he’s 5-foot-11, 190 pounds–he’d like to at least have a shot at doing it in college too. So that’s why the Gators, Aggies and Florida State were in the athlete’s top three, he told 247Sports.com. He is the No. 196 overall prospect in American according to the 247Sports.com composite ranking, which averages all the services.
Dillon is just incredibly quick and shifty, with 4.45 second speed in the 40-yard dash, which makes him a playmaker at several positions.
