D.J. Jones, a four-star defensive tackle who hails from South Carolina originally, has a top 10–and Tennessee tops the list.
Jones, rated the No. 4 overall junior college prospect in the nation, listed Alabama, South Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia in his top 10, along with Clemson, Southern Cal and Florida State. Jones is from Wren High School, just west of Greenville. It is within 45 minutes of Clemson’s campus and about two hours away from South Carolina, but the Vols top the list. Jones told 247Sports.com that he liked Tennessee the most because the Vols have been all over him going back to even his high school days. He also noted that they seem to be bouncing back as a program, especially in the recruiting department.
Jones would be very helpful on the D-line. The East Mississippi Community College star could start immediately in 2015–arriving on campus in January.
