Darryl Williams–a four-star Auburn target–had planned to announce his school choice at 10 a.m. this morning, Eastern Time. But the potential good news for Tigers fans will have to wait.
That announcement will now wait. Williams a 6-foot-4, 305-pound center who several SEC schools are seriously courting, decided to wait a bit longer. He is a four-star prospect and rated the No. 3 center in the country and out of Bessemer City (Ala.) and is also seriously considering Florida State, Kentucky and Mississippi State. His offer from Auburn came in early May and he took an unofficial visit to see the Tigers shortly afterward.
Williams is a very physically strong prospect and has caught the eye of several coaching staffs in recent months. He was a virtual unknown earlier this year, only to improve his stock exponentially with good showings since then.
Auburn already has had a good week in recruiting, beating out Alabama for in-state products Tyler Carr and Jalen Harris.
