Gators land second commitment for 2015

Coming next week starting Feb. 24–Quarterback Week! We take a look at the top 2015 signal caller targets for SEC schools, talk to them about what’s on their minds … and where they might end up.

Last year, Lake Nona High School in Orlando (Fla.) sent Florida a speedy wide receiver named Ryan Sousa. Now, it has sent another good one … Deondre Farrier.

Sharing the load with Sousa, Farrier (6-0/175) still caught 55 passes for 909 yards and seven touchdowns last fall, and he is a three-star prospect. Kentucky had also offered Farrier a scholarship, as had Miami. He was committed to South Florida until recently, when he enjoyed a junior day visit to Gainesville and received his offer from the Gators.

The other prospect on board with the Gators is defensive back Deontai Williams out of national hotbed Trinity Christian in Jacksonville (Fla.). Williams pledge to the Gators after New Years. WR DaVante Phillips of south Florida was at one time a 2015 Gators pledge, but he backed off around the time Dalvin Cook and Ermon Lane decided to look around.
