Gators land tight end, 3rd offensive pickup since coaching changes

Florida offered Thursday, and Moral Stephens pounced on it.

Stephens, a WR/TE from Perry (Fla.), committed to the Gators on Thursday, giving them their second commitment of the day after four-star O-lineman David Sharpe joined the class too. The two Thursday pickups make it three offensive commitments since the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach were let go after the regular season. Stephens is the 18th commitment for 2014.

“I just committed to the university of Florida ‘GatorNation’,” Stephens Tweeted right after make the decision.

His senior season, he had 56 receptions for 1,105 yards and 14 TDs. He is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 15 tight end in the nation. Kentucky and Miami were two leaders before he got his Florida offer, but Arkansas, LSU and Vandy also had reportedly offered.
