SEC Football News on Saturday Down South

Georgia, we have a lineman (again)

DeVondre Seymour is no stranger to Georgia. In fact, he probably is having a bit of a case of deja vu.

One year ago this week, he signed a letter of intent to join the Georgia signing class of 2013. This week, he committed back to the Bulldogs after spending one year at Hinds Community College in Mississippi, and he will be a part of the signing class of 2015. In most instances, junior college transfers finish up their second season and then sign with their chosen Division I school in December–and are on campus for school by January. If that’s the case, Seymour will be in Athens well before this time next year.

Seymour is a 6-foot-6, 315-pound offensive tackle who is originally out of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee (Ga.). As a senior, he was rated a top 100 national prospect by several recruiting services. He is no stranger to the ‘Dawgs.

Schools like Alabama and Florida also offered him scholarship in high school.
