Marcus Walker reported scholarship offers from Kentucky, Florida and Vanderbilt, as well as several other Division I schools–but in the end he saw himself as a Wildcat.

The Lake Wales (Fla.) safety stands 6-foot-1, 185 pounds and is rated a three-star prospect. He comes from a talent-rich area of one of the top talent-producing states in the country. He is the second players to come aboard for 2015 for the Wildcats, along with Georgia native Montrell Custis. Walker was on Kentucky’s campus in late November for an unofficial visit.

“They are upcoming and I love Coach (Mark) Stoops and what he is doing,” Walker told Saturday Down South. “They said they like that I’m explosive, the way I play the ball and I’m a creative player.”

Walker’s prep teammate, fellow 2015 classmate Luke Hiers, is also seriously interested in the Wildcats. He is an offensive lineman.
