Not surprisingly, LSU makes cut for four-star WR Johnson

This isn’t earth shattering news, as Tyron Johnson is from New Orleans, but the wide receiver has three schools that stick out most–and LSU is one of them.

Oklahoma State and Texas Tech are the other two, while Alabama just offered earlier this week and Arkansas, Auburn, Texas A&M and several other SEC schools have offered him a scholarship, too. Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound receiver out of Warren Easton and he is rated the No. 4 overall receiver in the nation and No. 41 prospect overall in the composite ranking. He’s just a hair away from being rated a five-star prospect in the composite.

Another key thing to realize here–he’s the best player in Louisiana, and you know LSU doesn’t want that to slip away. This explosive playmaker has great speed and a shiftiness that will sprain ankles.
