LSU holds steady with the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation

It’s been a quiet past month for LSU, but the Tigers are still holding on to their lofty national ranking–No. 6 overall.

The Tigers have landed six of their nine commitments in this calendar year, with the most recent being WR Jazz Ferguson and the nation’s No. 1 fullback–David Ducre. Key targets like WR Tyron Johnson and DB Tarvarus McFadden are still out there to chase, but if the Tigers can haul in players like that, they could be competing for a mythical national recruiting title.

“I’m stoked because I have the opportunity to play with and compete against some of the best players that the country has to offer,” Ducre told Saturday Down South after his commitment. “The competition will only make me better. They love my physicality, strength, speed and my hands.”
