LSU on top for nation’s No. 1 wide receiver, with Ole Miss also in top three

It was previously thought that Damarkus Lodge’s commitment would come down to a three-team battle between Baylor, Texas and Texas A&M.

Well, according to Lodge–who one would think would probably be an authority on the matter–it’s LSU at No. 1 with Ole Miss and Clemson making up the rest of his top three. Along with scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Ole Miss and LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn and Florida have also extended offers. Lodge let know that LSU was his clear No. 1 at this moment, and that he would love to play in the SEC because it would give him a chance to prove himself against the nation’s top defensive backs.

As a junior, Lodge turned heads when he caught 72 passes for 1,256 yards and 22 TDs. He stands 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, obviously a great size for the position, along with possessing a great knack for the position in general.

Lodge is rated the No. 1 wide receiver in the country in the composite ranking, along with being the No. 27 overall prospect.
