With five-star prospect Josh Rosen’s impending college announcement on March 20, things are about to warm up considerably when it comes to quarterbacks committing to schools.
One of those fellow stud quarterbacks out there is Texas native Kyler Murray, who only stands 5-foot-11, 170 pounds–but coaching staffs aren’t falling for that again. His style of play is very similar to Manziel’s, and it makes him the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the nation.
Murray hasn’t listed a decision date, but he did mention recently that Texas A&M and Florida join Texas Tech, Clemson and Oregon as his top five schools. The Aggies would love to bring him in and reproduce what Johnny Football did the past few years, and of course that’s a big possibility. Murray threw for 3,669 yards and 46 TDs and rushed for 1,274 yards and 19 TDs leading Allen to a second straight state title.
Murray was on Texas A&M’s campus for junior day in late January and in late February for an unofficial visit.
