One has to think that Mississippi State’s Egg Bowl win is having an effect on in-state recruiting. The proof? How about two four-star class of 2015 commitments in one week’s time?
The latest to come aboard is wide receiver and all-around athlete Cameron Myers, a 6-foot-2, 185-pounder out of Hattiesburg (Miss.). His only other offer was from Southern Miss, but his recruiting is just heating up and more offers will come. He follows Jay Johnson’s commitment from last week.
Myers finished his junior season by winning the Class 6A state championship with Oak Grove H.S. During the season, he caught 50 passes for 834 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also intercepting three passes as a defensive back. He has also been mentioned as a possible quarterback for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs now have five commitments on board for 2015, and the last four to come on board since November are all rated four-star prospects. The fifth is junior college three-star Donald Gray.
