Ravian Pierce’s route to playing SEC football has been a unique one, but he’s now officially on board.
Pierce signed with Mississippi State late Thursday after taking a visit to Starkville last weekend. He took advantage of the fact that this is actually a multi-month signing period, it’s not just a “signing day” on the first Wednesday of February. He took his time and checked out the Bulldogs, and he liked what he saw.
Pierce is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound tight end out of south Florida. He originally was committed to Arkansas, but stepped back in late January. Then it looked like he’d stay close to home with Florida Atlantic, but then Mississippi State decided to go after him hard just prior to signing day–and they were willing to wait for his signature.
