Here’s a day-by-day ‘month of July’ look at the top 31 players who are already committed to SEC schools, counting them down from No. 31 down to No. 1 on July 31st.

No. 27 – Mark Fields, DB, 5-11/185

COMMITTED TO: South Carolina.
HOMETOWN/SCHOOL: William Amos Hough (Cornelius, NC).
NAT. RANKING: No. 113 overall prospect in America.
NAT. POS. RANKING: No. 12 cornerback in America.
THE SKINNY: This North Carolina native is one of the Tar Heel State’s finest, yet he opted to bypass all of his in-state ACC schools to go to the SEC. Things warmed up for him considerably during the spring, when one after another SEC schools offered him. He has very good speed and is an excellent cover corner.
