NEW: Follow on facebook -

This weekend, SEC fans, if you tune in or log in—depending on if it’s TV or livestream—you can see several of the SEC’s top commitments or potential recruits in action. It is state championship time, and Georgia’s title games are in full swing, and there are SEC recruits abound.

Probably the biggest eyecatcher is Norcross, Georgia’s Lorenzo Carter–a five-star D-lineman with most of the SEC after him. He’ll be on TV and livestream Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

NOTE: All times mentioned are Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Check your local listings for the regional channels.

  • SEC COMMITS: Mizzou WR Nate Brown (North Gwinnett); Tennessee LB Kevin Mouhon (Norcross).
  • THE SKINNY: In this Class AAAAAA state title game, uncommitted five-star prospect Lorenzo Carter is the big-name guy for Norcross–everybody in the SEC wants him, and Georgia really wants to keep him in-state. On the other side of the ball there is DE Dante Sawyer, who Georgia and several other SEC schools are also courting. And Brown is a talented 6-foot-4 wide receiver who Mizzou has now, but the Bulldogs recently offered. Mitch Hyatt, one of the nation’s top juniors, also plays for North Gwinnett.

  • WHEN/TV: Friday, 5:30 p.m./Georgia Public Broadcasting TV and livestream

  • WHEN/TV: Friday, 8:30 p.m./Georgia Public Broadcasting TV and livestream

  •  WHO: Griffin (Ga.) vs. Carrolton, Georgia Dome
  • WHEN/TV: Saturday, 5:30 p.m./Georgia Public Broadcasting TV and livestream
