Coming next week starting Feb. 24–Quarterback Week! We take a look at the top 2015 signal caller targets for SEC schools, talk to them about what’s on their minds … and where they might end up.

South Carolina’s 2015 class has taken a few hits over the past several months. It lost Arden Key in the fall and Chauncey Rivers earlier this week. And now, three-star WR Dexter Neal--Rivers’ prep teammate–is looking around.

But even with all of that considered, the Gamecocks already have two national top 200 prospects on board and a highly coveted five-star defensive end in Shameik Blackshear. Blackshear is the No. 1 player in the state of South Carolina, and should the Gamecocks go on to sign him, they’ll have locked up the No. 1 prospect in the state for the fifth time in the past seven years–fighting off Clemson, Georgia and Alabama for most of that talent.

  • Key decommitted from USC after DB Wesley Green (one of Key’s best friends) decommitted from USC last year. Landing Green on signing day was a big pickup for USC, as Key has mentioned before that he wants to play in college with Green. Arden Key would be a big pickup to come in along with Blackshear and 2014 commit Dante Sawyer (who now is going JUCO and expected to enroll in January 2015) on the DL next year.
