One thing is for sure at Arkansas–this program won’t be hurting for depth at the quarterback position any time soon.
In the 2014 class, Missouri native Rafe Peavey is a stud, and in the 2015 class the Razorbacks have kept one of the nation’s best at home–in-stater Ty Storey is on board with Arkansas already. This has to make Arkansas fans smile.
Jared Cornelius is a wide receiver from storied Evangel Christian in Louisiana. He can’t wait to get rolling for the Razorbacks–and he can’t wait to catch passes from the aforementioned quarterbacks. And he loves the coaching staff.
“The relationships I made with the coaching staff over the short period of time made it special,” Cornelius told Saturday Down South. “Coach B (Bret Bielema) is on a mission and I believe he’s going to make UA into a powerhouse. Just being around him motivated me to be the best I could be.”
With 16 commits on board, Arkansas may not be in the top 10 of the national recruiting rankings, but that hardly matters to this class. They’re used to seeing Arkansas getting overlooked. Running back commit Juan Day is one of them. He loves what Bielema brings from Wisconsin.
“I remember at Wisconsin, they had a pro-style offense,” Day told SDS. “And they had a good stuff defense. I like that style of football.”
