It’s always nice to nab a four-star quality offensive lineman. It’s even better when you can wrestle him loose from your dreaded rival.

That’s what Texas A&M did with it’s most recent pickup of the nine commitments the Aggies now have on board–nine commitments that give the class the nation’s top ranking, by the way. Ahead of Alabama, ahead of LSU, ahead of Auburn and Florida State … you name it.

The Aggies most recent pickup was offensive tackle Connor Lanfear, who was previously committed to the Texas Lohghorns.

“The SEC is without a doubt the best conference in college football,” Lanfear told Saturday Down South. “It has the best talent and to be the best I figure you have to play with and beat the best as well. The coaches there say they love how I come off the ball with everything I’ve got on every play. They love my mean streak and how I’m not satisfied with simply pushing someone out of the way. I want to bury as many people as I can. They also say they love my athleticism and my overall versatility as an offensive lineman.”
