OK, when you have a top 100 national prospect out of Cleveland (Ohio) — that’s right, not Cleveland (Tenn.) — chance are Ohio State is all over him and probably will land him.
Jerome Baker is one of those. He’s a 6-foot-1, 205 pound running back/linebacker out of Benedictine in Cleveland. He just told Rivals.com that his top three is made up of the Buckeyes, Florida and Tennessee. He was in Gainesville this past weekend for an unofficial visit, and he liked what he saw. He’s the No. 2 prospect out of talent rich Ohio and he’s the No. 39 overall prospect in America.
Regardless of the Urban Meyer effect, the Gators and Vols are working hard on landing this Ohio native.
Baker also said that he’d like to take official visits this fall to his top three, and he’d like to evaluate Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State further before making his final decision after his senior season.
