It was thought that Chance Hall would stay close to home and play for the Virginia Cavaliers, even though Tennessee and Vanderbilt were finalists. Instead, he’s heading to Rocky Top.
That was not the case though, as Hall committed to the Volunteers on Thursday night and became the 2015 class’ 19th member. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound three-star lineman could play on either side of the ball, either as a defensive tackle or offensive tackle. He plays his high school ball in Roanoke (Va.) and has said before that Virginia was his childhood favorite school. He previously stated that Notre Dame and Virginia Tech were the other two finalists.
Hall has been on Tennessee’s campus twice since the beginning of the year and attended Vandy’s junior day.
