LSU, Alabama, Georgia … congratulations, you just made a top 100 prospect’s top five. Of course, that’s nothing new for this trio of SEC schools.
Derrius Guice, a 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back out of Baton Rouge (La.), told Rivals.com that he has a top five. The aforementioned SEC schools join Texas and Southern Miss at the top of his list. LSU is expected to be the ultimate winner in this battle, but it could go on for awhile. He did attend Alabama’s junior day, so the Crimson Tide should be considered a threat too.
Guice is rated the No. 68 overall prospect in America and the No. 3 prospect in talent-rich Louisiana. LSU has the No. 5 ranked class in the country and already has nine commitments on board. Running back Nick Brossette is one of those nine players, as is fullback David Ducre. How their commitments would affect Guice’s decision could come into play.
