Ohio based lineman George Brown Jr. is just hair away of being rated a four-star prospect, and it looks like within a month, he may be one of the gems of the Kentucky football class. July 25th is the announcement date.
Brown is a 6-foot-6, 255-pound offensive tackle/defensive end out of Cincinnati, and he is a cousin of February signee Mike Edwards, helping solidify the bond between the school and Brown. As has been mentioned several times previously on Saturday Down South, Mark Stoops and his staff have had tremendous success in next-door neighbor Ohio, with more than 40 percent of their recruits having come from the Buckeye State during Stoops’ short tenure. Five of this year’s class of 10 are already from Ohio.
Along with Kentucky, Georgia, Missouri, Oklahoma, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Florida and LSU are also schools under consideration. Kentucky has six offensive linemen on board already for 2015, so Brown’s commitment–should it happen–may cause a bit of a ripple effect.
