Top SEC bound QBs in the Rivals100 since 2002: No. 2 Jacob Eason, Georgia

Since 2002, has posted its Rivals100 ranking–and from 2002-16 there have been 32 quarterbacks who signed with (or plan to sign with) current SEC schools, so we included Mizzou and Texas A&M. We ranked those 32 QBs by how high they were in the Rivals100. Some won Heismans, some were drafted by the NFL, others never did anything. There are also several outstanding SEC QBs who never made the Rivals100, like Johnny Manziel and Connor Shaw.

Here’s a day-by-day look at the Rivals100 quarterbacks who signed with (or will sign with) current SEC schools.

No. 2 – Jacob Eason

SEC SCHOOL: Georgia.
RIVALS100 RANK: 10th overall prospect in 2016.
THE SKINNY: Since Eason is still a prep prospect, his rating wiggled a little bit since the beginning of the month, but he’s still a solid five-star prospect and is the highest rated SEC-bound quarterback in a decade. He committed to the Bulldogs several weeks ago and gives the program a 6-foot-4, 205-pound future star with a stud arm. He is from Washington state, but it appears the Pac 12 just couldn’t hold onto him,

EDITOR’S NOTE: For this particular series we are following the Rivals100 ranking, which has been posted online since 2002.
