By this time next week, five-star uncommitteds Raekwon McMillan and Clifton Garrett will be off the board–and there’s a chance SEC schools could land both of them.
Both are stud linebackers–Garrett’s listed as the best outside linebacker in the country, and McMillan is the top inside LB.
McMillan, who is a Georgia native, is slated to announce on Monday–with Ohio State considered a slight leader, but Alabama also is in the mix to land him (as is Clemson). He visited all three and Auburn in the past two months. Garrett, an Illinois native, is a little bit more solid to the SEC–despite not being from the region. Garrett will announce on Tuesday, and LSU is the heavy favorite to land his services–but Ole Miss, Tennessee and Florida also got official visits from him.
Garrett’s announcement could be the first of several monster five-star announcements that go LSU’s way in the next few weeks. A slew of uncommitted studs are planning to announce at the Under Armour Game on Jan. 2–it seems almost scripted what will happen that day. LSU will likely come away very happy.
