Uncommitted countdown: Best 30 SEC targets available- No. 3 CeCe Jefferson, DE

CeCeJefferson-SEC-target-2015

SDS will count down the 30 biggest SEC targets still available around the country–these are the players SDS thinks realistically will end up signing with SEC schools. Obviously there are players with SEC offers out west and up north, but if it looks like they aren’t seriously considering the SEC, we didn’t include them in this series.

Here’s a day-by-day ‘month of June’ look at the top 30 realistic SEC targets left in the country, ranking them from No. 30 down to No. 1 on June 30th.

No. 3 – CeCe Jefferson, DE, Glen St. Mary (Fla.), 6-2/250

SEC OFFERS: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Mizzou, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee.
NAT. RANKING: No. 4 overall prospect in America.
NAT. POS. RANKING: No. 1 strongside defensive end in America.
THE SKINNY: Jefferson is from a town about an hour north of the University of Florida, just west of Jacksonville. It would be tough to see this incredibly gifted defensive end going anywhere other than Gainesville, but of course if anything negative happens at Florida this fall (on the field) things can always change. As far as a player, CeCe is very quick and he’s also sharp as a tack from a cerebral standpoint.
TELLS SDS: “I like the fact that (the Florida Gators) are close to home, and they do show me a bunch of love when I go there. Coach Lawing is a big part of it. I’ve seen quotes from Clowney about how he has given Coach Lawing so much credit. If he can do those things with Clowney, I figure why not me? There are multiple reasons I love Gainesville, but those are the most important to me.”
SDS PREDICTION: CeCe will be doing the Gator chomp many times in his future.

Editor’s note: For this particular series, Saturday Down South’s order for ‘likely SEC recruits’ is determined using the 247Sports.com industry composite ranking (as of June 1st ranking).
